These pills require women to have a BP
check every 6 months because they can increase blood pressure and put you at
risk of rare but serious problems such as heart attack and stroke. Because of
this we don’t tend to allow repeat prescriptions without you seeing a nurse or
doctor.
Progesterone-only pills eg Cerazette,
Noriday.
These pills don’t have the same effect on
blood pressure so we would be happier to accept repeat prescription requests.
